Lutheran education has been a blessing for me both personally and professionally. I have attended LCMS schools from 1st – 12th grade. My two sons, Joshua and Jeffrey, attended LCMS schools from 4K – 12th grade. I wanted my sons to attend a school in which the staff would handle the difficult situations based on the Lutheran faith, especially as they navigated through their teenage years. God brought me my husband, John, and we were married in June of 2021. My step son Gavin attends school in the Mayville school district and will be in high school this year. Both John and Gavin bring so many blessings to my life.
Professionally, I was a classroom teacher for 18 years and then entered into the role of administrator. I served as an administrator for 4 years and I am beginning my 6th year in this role. I absolutely love interacting with the families and students and working with such gifted and dedicated staff here at St. John’s Lutheran School.
One of my favorite passages is Jeremiah 29:10. “For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God has called me to teach and lead the little children to Him in His Kingdom. It is a tremendous honor and privilege to do so. I have the privilege to work with an incredibly faithful and dedicated faculty in this ministry. I pray daily that God uses us according to His will and for the furtherment of the Gospel in our mission: Reaching, Teaching, and Sharing the Gospel.
It is a blessing to be called back to serve at this very tight-knit school. My experiences with this school have renewed my faith and desire to continue the work of the Holy Spirit by sharing the Gospel with all His children and having the privilege of overseeing the development of my students’ mind, body, and spirit. I currently live in the town of Hartford with my wife, Chelsey Mageski, my four beautiful children; Elijah, who is 11 years old, Aubree, who is 9 years old, Sophia, who is 7 years old, Camden, who is just turning 3, and our dogs Socks and Buddy. I graduated December of 2013 Summa Cum Laude from Concordia University Wisconsin and quickly started teaching 4th grade at Green Tree Elementary School in West Bend, WI. This will be my tenth year at St. Johns. My wife is a nurse practitioner with a love and passion for helping people. In our free time we love to go fishing, spend time hiking, visit the zoo, and go on road trips. I also have to admit that my household cheers for the Vikings on Sundays!
“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity and dignity.” Titus 2:7
I was born and raised in Mayville. I actually attended grade school right here at St. John’s School ~ ‘Once an Eagle Always an Eagle’. I attended the University of WI-Stevens Point and graduated with a degree in elementary education with an emphasis in coaching, reading and language arts. I also received my Master’s Degree in reading from UWSP. I have taught 3rd grade – 8th grade both here at St. John’s Mayville and Wausau Middle School. I have over 25 years of teaching experience in everything from ESL and alternative education to reading and writing. I am privileged to be at St. John’s now teaching in the middle school and also serving as the school librarian. I am currently the 6th-grade homeroom teacher. My husband Burt and I have a wonderfully busy life together with our three children and son-in-law. My two oldest daughters are currently working on their Master’s Degrees through UW-Milwaukee and Concordia Mequon while my son is attending Mayville High School.
My favorite song is What Faith Can Do by Kutless. It is an amazing song that is both powerful and uplifting and reminds us that if we continue believing – miracles can happen.
I was raised here in Mayville, Wisconsin and attended grade school right here at St. John’s Lutheran School. I am a graduate of U.W. Whitewater and later completed my colloquy from CUE net Concordia. I became the fourth grade teacher at St. John’s in 2001. I feel truly blessed to be called by my home congregation. My husband, Jamie, (yes, same first name) and I have been blessed with two children, Braeden and Ellie.
One of my favorite bible verses is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
I graduated from Concordia University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1994. In the fall of 1994, I had the privilege of student teaching first grade here at St. John’s Lutheran School. In 1995, I was hired at St. John’s as a fifth grade teacher. In 1999, I moved to the third grade teaching position. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and being physically active! My husband Ted and I have been blessed with two wonderful children. Our daughter just graduated from Concordia University of Wisconsin and our son will be a junior at UW-Whitewater. My husband is also a teacher and has been teaching at Mayville Middle School since 1996.
My confirmation verse is very special to me: “Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life.” Rev. 2:10b.
Hello! I am so excited to be here at St. John’s, teaching first grade. I was born and raised right here in Mayville. I attended St.John’s in my middle school years and am very excited to be back as part of the staff. I attended Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and received a bachelor’s in English and a minor in Psychology. I am currently still in school as I am getting my Masters in Education at WLC. Starting my teaching career at a school that I attended is truly a blessing. Outside of school I live in the country and enjoy getting outside with my dog Willa. I also have a passion for reading and writing when I have free time.
A bible verse that I live by is “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 32:6
I’m very excited to be part of the St. John’s Staff! I have one amazing son, Zander who is in 7th grade at Dayspring Chrisitan. I have worked with children since 2015 through teaching Sunday school and volunteering here at the school in many ways. Even though I’m now in Missouri working at a high school as a para for Special Ed, I still keep connected with my family here at St. John’s.
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4
Hey y’all! I grew up in Wisconsin and attended UW-Lacrosse, where I double majored in Elementary Education and Special Education. I met my husband down in Texas (we lived there from 2009-2021). After we got married, I began teaching and absolutely loved it! However, after a few years, I decided to stay at home and fulfill the important role of being a mom. During this time, I also worked at a few of our church’s preschools, teaching subjects like art, STEM, and chapel and 3-year-olds. Now, I am at St. John’s and I feel incredibly blessed with what God has in store for me here. I currently live in Mayville with my husband Matthew and our 8 kids. Five of our children attend St. John’s: Adalynn (10), Beau (9), Charlotte (8), Evangeline (6), and Francesca (5). Our other son, Duke, who is on the autism spectrum, is in 2nd grade at Mayville Elementary. The youngest members of our family, Gabbilynn (3) and Henrietta (1), come to St. John’s childcare.
In the rare moments of spare time that I have, I love to be outdoors, stay active, and spend time with my family. Two fun facts about me: I used to be a photographer, and my husband and I used to own a gourmet popcorn business.
I am Ms. T. I have been the school food director going on 24 years, hopefully making all the kids happy. I’m a resident of Lomira and in my free time I enjoy being with my four grandchildren; watching their baseball games, soccer games and hockey.
I am excited to be a part of the St. John’s family this year. My husband, Tony, and I have been married 15 years now. We have one daughter, Aubrianna, who is entering 6 th grade. I was blessed to have grown up in Mayville and to now raise my family here. I have worked at the Lomira Public Library for over two years and enjoy helping everyone find the knowledge that a book can hold. The best part of my job is when a child finds a book that
brings them joy and unlocks a newfound passion for reading. I can’t wait to bring my skills to the school community.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and planning trips to our favorite vacation spot, Disney World.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one
another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
John 13:34-35
Hello. I am very excited and grateful to be back as the SNSP Aide this year at St John’s! I am originally from Waupun. I moved up north for several years and moved back to Mayville about 7 years ago. I went to school and graduated from UW-Milwaukee. I am married to my husband Bruce and I have 4 children. My oldest son, Jackson, will be a junior at UW-Madison and he is studying Political Science and English. My second son, Sam, will be a freshman at Moraine Park for the Auto Mechanic program. My third son, Ray, will be a junior at Mayville High School. And my only daughter, Bree, will be a 7th grader at Lomira Middle School.
I truly enjoy spending time at home with my family. I also am an avid runner and do that religiously every morning before I start my day. I have been working in the school system now for the past 8 years in teaching and helping roles and really enjoy it!
“God has perfect timing: never early, never late. It takes a little patience and a whole lot of Faith…..BUT IT’S WORTH THE WAIT.”
