It is a blessing to be called back to serve at this very tight-knit school. My experiences with this school have renewed my faith and desire to continue the work of the Holy Spirit by sharing the Gospel with all His children and having the privilege of overseeing the development of my students’ mind, body, and spirit. I currently live in the town of Hartford with my wife, Chelsey Mageski, my four beautiful children; Elijah, who is 12 years old, Aubree, who is 10 years old, Sophia, who is 8 years old, Camden, who is just turning 4, and our dogs Socks and Buddy. I graduated December of 2013 Summa Cum Laude from Concordia University Wisconsin and quickly started teaching 4th grade at Green Tree Elementary School in West Bend, WI. This will be my eleventh year at St. Johns. My wife is a nurse practitioner with a love and passion for helping people. In our free time we love to go fishing, spend time hiking, visit the zoo, and go on road trips. I also have to admit that my household cheers for the Vikings on Sundays!
I am honored to lead SJLS as its principal and look forward to building relationships with all of our students and families.
“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity and dignity.” Titus 2:7
I was born and raised in Mayville. I actually attended grade school right here at St. John’s School ~ ‘Once an Eagle Always an Eagle’. I attended the University of WI-Stevens Point and graduated with a degree in elementary education with an emphasis in coaching, reading and language arts. I also received my Master’s Degree in reading from UWSP. I have taught 3rd grade – 8th grade both here at St. John’s Mayville and Wausau Middle School. I have over 32 years of teaching experience in everything from ESL and alternative education to reading and writing. I am privileged to be at St. John’s teaching in middle school. I am currently the 6th-grade homeroom teacher, 6-8 ELA teacher, and also do the art, 3D printing and robotics classes. My husband Burt and I have a wonderfully busy life together with our three children, two sons-in-law, grandson and soon we will be blessed with another grandbaby.
My favorite song is What Faith Can Do by Kutless. It is an amazing song that is both powerful and uplifting and reminds us that if we continue believing – miracles can happen.
I’m Jeremy Brey and I am originally from Watertown, SD. During my time
at Watertown High School, I was active in various sports as well as other extracurriculars, such as National Honors Society and Boy Scouts. After high school, I made the decision to attend Concordia University, Nebraska and receive my bachelor’s in Secondary Education-Social Science. It was also there that I met my wife, Sarah, who is proud to note that her GPA was 0.01 higher than mine in college. Our first job was in Oklahoma, where I taught 5-8 social
studies along with 8th religion. I also have experience coaching 5th-8th grade boys basketball through school and through AAU.
I am excited to be a stereotypical Lutheran educator and wear many hats this year. I will be the Athletic Director, coaching basketball, and teaching PE, 6th grade social studies, and 5th grade geography and religion.
“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that
brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to
the Gentile.” Romans 1:16
I was raised here in Mayville, Wisconsin and attended grade school right here at St. John’s Lutheran School. I am a graduate of U.W. Whitewater and later completed my colloquy from CUE net Concordia. I became the fourth grade teacher at St. John’s in 2001. I feel truly blessed to be called by my home congregation. My husband, Jamie, (yes, same first name) and I have been blessed with two children, Braeden and Ellie.
One of my favorite bible verses is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Hello! I’m excited and feel very blessed to be St. John’s third grade teacher
and once again be a part of this amazing staff here at St. John’s! I graduated from Concordia University of Wisconsin in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in
Elementary Education. In the fall of 1994, I had the privilege of student teaching first grade here at St. John’s and the following year was hired to be St. John’s fifth grade teacher. In 1999, I moved to the third grade teaching position and have taught third grade ever since. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and being physically active! My husband Ted and I are blessed with two wonderful children. Our daughter is a graduate of Concordia University of Wisconsin and our son is currently a senior at UW-Whitewater.
My confirmation
verse is very special to me, and it’s a verse that I have repeatedly shared with all my students throughout the years: “Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life.” Rev. 2:10.
After working in the public school system for twenty-four years, (as a teacher for thirteen) I feel blessed to join the team at St. John’s. I am originally from Merton, Wisconsin, lived in Horicon for 19 years, and now reside in Beaver Dam. My education started at UW-Oshkosh where I majored in Anthropology. After doing archaeology for a couple of years, I headed back to school at UW-Milwaukee for my teaching certification.
In my spare time, I love to write, travel, hike, and explore Wisconsin. I also enjoy spending time with my two daughters, Mary and Andie. Mary is 20 and will be attending UW-Whitewater this year, while Andie is 16 and goes to Horicon High. Mary loves nature, music, and art, and Andie enjoys trap shooting, FFA, and country music.
I feel the Lord has brought me here, as he says in Psalms 32:8, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” Thank you for allowing me to educate and guide your children.
I am so excited to be here at St. John’s, teaching first grade. I was born and raised right here in Mayville. I attended St.John’s in my middle school years and am very excited to be back as part of the staff. I attended Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and received a bachelor’s in English and a minor in Psychology. I also hold a Master’s degree in Education at WLC, which I completed in 2022. This will be my third year of teaching here at St. John’s and it truly has been a huge blessing in my life. Outside of school I live in the country and enjoy getting outside with my dog Willa. I also have a passion for reading and writing when I have free time.
A bible verse that I live by is “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 32:6
Hello! I am so excited to continue my calling to teach here at St. John’s Mayville. I am blessed to be part of this family. This is my 11th year teaching and 6th here at St. John’s. I am originally from Glendale, WI born and raised. I grew up the youngest of 4 with 2 older brothers and a sister. I attended Concordia University Wisconsin to receive my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Spanish. I graduated in December of 2013 with honors. My first placement was at St. John’s in Portage where I taught Kindergarten for five years before coming here to St. John’s Mayville. Teaching is my passion and I find so much joy in seeing my kids everyday and watching them grow academically, socially, and most importantly in their faith. I live in Fond du Lac with my husband Dylan, our daughter, and our labradoodle Millie. I enjoy exploring the outdoors, watching the Packers and the Brewers, doing puzzles, and doing crafts.
I recently took a leap of faith and left health care after 16 years to spend more time with my kids and jump into the community. I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of the St. John’s family. My girls, Grace and Carly, started in childcare and my husband Chris and I have made the decision to continue their education here at St. John’s. The last year and a half I had a blast working in childcare and look forward to helping more in the school as an Aide in 4K, assistance to Mrs. T in the lunchroom, and getting to know your kids while we learn and praise God! I love spending time with my family, riding our bicycles, camping, hunting and baking.
It is a true blessing to be called into service here at St. John’s for another year. This year you’ll see me as a long term sub in the Kindergarten room, and in my role as the Co-Director of the SNSP program; focusing on social-emotional learning and peer mediation.
I am Angie Hiebl and this will be my third year at St Johns. I am the SNSP Aide and I am also a substitute teacher when needed. I feel so grateful to be a part of the St Johns family. I love my role here and enjoy working with all the students.

I’m very excited to be part of the St. John’s Staff! I have one amazing son, Zander who is in 8th grade at Dayspring Chrisitan. I have worked with children since 2015 through teaching Sunday school and volunteering here at the school in many ways. Even though I’m now in Missouri working at an elementary school as a para for Special Ed, I still keep connected with my family here at St. John’s.
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4

I attended Living Word Lutheran High School and was active in band, choir, praise team, and track and field. I received my bachelor’s degree and Lutheran Teacher’s Diploma from Concordia University, Nebraska in 2021. CUNE is also where I met my wonderful husband, Jeremy. My first Call was in Oklahoma where I taught PK-8th grade music and middle school religion. I am excited to be back in Wisconsin and to continue my career here at St. John’s! I will be teaching music in the upper grades (band and handbells), as well as 4th grade music and 6th grade religion. I will also be the Director of Parish Music for the church. What a joy it is to make music and sing praises to God!
I am excited to be a part of the St. John’s family for my second year. My husband, Tony, and I have been married for 16 years. We have one daughter, Aubrianna, who is entering 7th grade. I was blessed to have grown up in Mayville and to now raise my family here. In my spare Eme I enjoy reading, spending Eme with my family, and planning trips to our favorite vacaEon spot, Disney World. I am thrilled to be taking on a bigger role at the school this year. I am always looking for ways to grow and learn, stepping into the new role of office assistant will help me do just that. I am looking forward to working in the library again and helping children find the joy that a good
book can bring. I can’t wait to see what God has planned for me, my family, and the St. John’s School this year!
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one
another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
